CK12 Foundation (www.ck12.org) is recruiting stellar interns to work on developing our mathematics FlexBook® textbooks. This opportunity is a paid internship, unless a student is working to fulfill community service or volunteering requirements. Role:
- Implement heading structure and consistent answer key resources in FlexBook® textbooks.
- Apply layout template to a variety of existing textbook resources.
- Identify how, and where, information fits into predetermined categories.
- Locate replacement multimedia resources if needed.
- Take initiative to identify and correct typographical or grammatical issues.
- Recognize inconsistencies and research, and apply, best practice.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable command of English language
- Strong familiarity with high school mathematics concepts
- Ability to identify and apply general principles
- Initiative to find and fix problems
- Creative research skills
- "Persnickety" a huge plus
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in Humanities or Mathematics degree at college level.
- Familiarity and confidence with high school mathematics concepts.
- Must be able to commit to working onsite in Palo Alto office at least 15 hours per week.
