CK-12 Foundation is recruiting stellar summer interns with a background or interest in education to work on science curriculum. This opportunity is a paid internship.

Skills

  • Excited about science!

  • Responsible and able to work with minimal supervision both individually and collaboratively 
  • Experience with a content management system a plus
  • Software experience is a plus, e.g. Google Apps, HTML5, Photoshop, Illustrator

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: BS/BA in biology, science education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching middle and/or secondary education preferred
  • Able to commit to 8 weeks (20 hrs a week), with the potential for increased hours
  • NOTE: This is a remote position due to COVID safety measures

Positions

Curriculum Design and Assessment

Utilize a strong biology and education background involving curriculum design and an understanding of formative assessments to support an adaptive assessment system. You may work on improving assessment and determining ways to better help students learn.

Quality Assurance and Content Curation

Utilize a strong Biology background to review and curate educational resources for CK-12 content. You may apply your knowledge on new findings and current events to find ways to connect learners with the real world and suggest innovative ways of learning.
